Localization
====================================================================
WinContig allows you to easily translate all menus, dialog-boxes, and other strings into other languages.

In order to do that, follow the instructions below:

1) Make sure your language hasn't already been translated.

2) Create a copy of the "WinContig_EN.lng" language file and name it "WinContig_XX.lng", where "XX" is your country code (e.g. EN = English, IT = Italian, ES = Spanish, FR = French, etc.). The "WinContig_EN.lng" file is located in the "Lang" subfolder.

3) Open your language file in Notepad or in any other text editor.

4) Translate all menus, dialog-boxes, and string entries to the desired language.

To test your language file, just select it from "Options" menu -> "Language".

Make sure to save as a Unicode text document. Also, please make sure that every string makes perfect sense in your language before submitting an LNG file to us.
You can send your language file (in ZIP format) to md@mdtzone.it

A. Sure. WinContig is freeware for personal and commercial use.

Q. What is the difference between Quick Defragmentation and Smart Defragmentation?
A. WinContig supports two different defragmentation methods. If you choose the Quick method, WinContig does look for the first amount of free space large enough to defragment a file into and uses it. Use this defragmentation method if you use tools like Windows Defrag to defragment your hard disk on a regular basis. If you choose the Smart method, WinContig does look for the amount of free space that best fits a file into ad uses it. Also, if there is no free space large enough to fully defragment a file into, WinContig does try to reduce the number of fragments of that file.
